The IGLO network (Informal Group of RTD Liaison Offices) is organising the 3rd edition of the IGLO in Action on Lump Sum Funding workshop on 21 May 2026 (approx. 9:00–12:30, online).
IGLO in Action is a series of expert meetings designed to facilitate the exchange of practical experience between research institutions and project administration professionals on the implementation of Horizon Europe instruments. This year's edition will focus on the practical aspects of managing lump sum-funded projects, with particular attention to:
- project monitoring,
- amendments to grant agreements,
- project closure.
The workshop will take the form of small working group discussions involving practitioners responsible for the administrative and financial management of Horizon Europe lump sum projects. The outcomes will be compiled into a report to be shared with the European Commission as was the case in the 2022 and 2023 editions. The event will once again feature a representative of the European Commission, Ulrich Genschel (DG RTD), who will provide an update on the current state of lump sum funding implementation in Horizon Europe.
Who should apply?
We invite individuals involved in the administrative or financial management of lump sum consortium projects under Horizon Europe, particularly those whose projects have already completed at least one reporting period.
